Carved from volcanic stones, the towns of Sorano and Pitigliano are ancient settlements in Maremma, the southern part of Tuscany.
They are called “borghi del tufo”, since theu have been built from a volcanic stone called “tuff”. Pitigliano, in particular, is also called Little Jerusalem.
With small houses made of tuff and narrow alleys, it got its name from the jewish community that lived peacefully here in the past centuries.
The music is an homage to this Jewish heritage and it is “MIQEDEM – Psalm 23 (Live in Studio) תהילים כ״ג”, all rights to the rightful owners.
