The Atlantic published River Collision, Costa Rica

The Atlantic Photo Editor Alan Taylor picked my aerial shot “River Collisions” among the aerial photographies running in the National Geographic contest 2017 Photographer of the Year!

Tortuguero is one of the most remote national parks of Costa Rica, a pristine park where there are no cars, no traffic, no pollution at all. I was looking for taking some shots of the nature, but since I was on an island, walking was not getting me far. I took out the swimming option: river was crowded with crocodiles! So I decided to explore the area with my drone: I immediately noticed the difference in the colors of the rivers. The dark ones is coming from the jungle, the lighter from the mainland
